Implementing First 1000 Days Australia

The process of implementation at regional sites is achieved through a partnership with the Indigenous Health Equity Unit at the University of Melbourne. It is a staged process moving from an Advocate Site to a Champion Site and finally to a First 1000 Days Australia Alliance Site. If you or your organisation wishes to implement First 1000 Days Australia strategies, we would like to hear from you.

First 1000 Days Australia strategies are based and coordinated within urban, regional/rural and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Centres and/or Controlled Organisations that can be easily accessed by families.

Close collaborations with governments and peak organisations within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector will ensure the evidence generated by First 1000 Days Australia catalyses improvements in policy, practice, family empowerment, business and whole of-government services.
