Parkville Precinct Partnership

The Australian Model’s academic partnership is a formally articulated collaboration – Parkville Precinct Partnership – between the University of Melbourne (which will take a lead coordinating role), Walter & Eliza Hall Institute, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, The Lowitja Institute, Monash University, La Trobe University, Save the Children Australia and Royal Children’s Hospital.

The role of the Parkville Precinct Partnership will be to develop the Pre-conception Longitudinal Study with representing scientists on the First 1000 Days Australia Scientific Advisory Committee. It will be answerable to the First 1000 Days Australia Council so that the direction and decisions are maintained under Indigenous leadership and control, and the research emanating from the First 1000 Days Australia – Multigenerational Family Environment Study remains with, and is returned to, the participating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families.
